Hello!
Rapport between you and the therapist is one of the most important considerations for therapy. Additionally, it is important for the therapist to treat within their scope of practice. Please take a moment to read our treatment statements to better assist you in your provider selection decision making process.

Samantha Bauer, LCPC
I provide individual therapy sessions as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland to teens and adults. I have clinical experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, school difficulties, and challenging relationship issues. In the therapy space, I aim to help create a welcoming environment where you feel safe to be yourself. My therapy approach lays on a trauma-informed, social justice foundation – this means I consider and integrate the effects of trauma, systematic oppression, and social factors during our time together. I utilize a person-centered approach, so you are leading the therapy session while I gently guide. I realize this approach is not for everyone, so I am as directive as you need! We will discuss different perspectives; identify unpleasant emotions; challenge unhelpful thinking
patterns; and much more during our time together. I want you to trust the process and me so much that you feel comfortable enough to let me know when your comfortability is broken even if you don’t like confrontation. I am happy to answer any and all questions at any point during the process! My hope is you leave therapy feeling heard and valued while making positive changes to your life.
